I grew up in a household where music was always playing. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, my interests shifted between choir, piano, volleyball, and martial arts. My passion for the piano ultimately persevered, which I owe mostly to my parents and my piano teacher, George Peter Tingley, who taught me everything I know about music composition.
I enjoyed the creative musical process from a young age. At 7 years old, I was fortunate enough to win the California PTA Reflections State Championship for piano composition, and I continued to learn the art of composition with the guidance of my teacher. I eventually obtained a Music Minor while studying International Relations at the University of California, Davis.
I often find inspiration from the musicians that influenced me throughout my life, including classical artists such as Chopin and Erik Satie, or modern artists like Philip Glass, Hans Zimmer, Chloe Flower, or my own piano teacher (George Peter Tingley). I'm also frequently inspired by life stories, world events, or the natural environment around me.
